<p><a href="http://terrierreklam.se" target="_blank"><strong>Terrier Reklambyrå</strong></a> had designed the beautiful new range of <a href="http://www.mjau.se" target="_blank">Mjau Tetra Recart.</a> <strong>Pilo Bold Me</strong> was asked to work together with Terrier Reklambyrå and bring that design to the Mjau dry cat food range. It was a delicate mission since the old design had been with the brand for many years and was very well known among the customers. <strong>The concept 50/50 was brought to life.</strong> The idea was that the first products to hit the shelfs were to have half of the old design and half of the new. So it would be easy to see what the new design would look like. With a torn edge, almost as if the packaging was about to moult. <em>I</em><em>n the second stage</em><em>, </em><em> the new design was </em><em>presented in full bloom.<br />
</em></p>
<p><em>The Mjau dry cat food range includes the flavours <strong>Fiskfest, Kycklingkalas, Räkfrossa, Köttgille</strong> and the cat food for kittens <strong>Föräldrafritt.</strong></em></p>

<p><strong>Pilo Bold Me was asked to produce a banner campaign, which launches Mjau cat food in Tetra Recart.</strong> The packaging consists of cardboard which is a renewable resource and requires minimal use of material. Lantmännen Doggy wanted to once again take the step away from traditional advertising for cat food. Teaming up with <a href="http://www.mindboom.se">Mindboom</a> the idea of a cat in <strong>origamistyle</strong> was born. The cat then turns into a Mjau Tetra Recart.</p>

<p>Hotel Flora is a<strong> four star hotel</strong> in Gothenburg, Sweden, which is an alternative to the mainstream. When they where about to launch their <a href="http://www.hotelflora.se" target="_blank">new site,</a> <strong>Pilo Bold Me</strong> also wanted a short film presenting the hotel. But not done as per usual. <a href="http://www.edithouse.se" target="_blank">Edithouse</a> was contacted who immediately came with a lot of ideas. It was decided that it should be a film that would convey more the feeling of the hotel and create a sense of magic. Early on it was clear that it was to be shoot with a <strong>Canon 5D Mark II.</strong> Music was also important and the choice fell on <strong>Ian Loves</strong> great track <a href="http://www.ianlove.com" target="_blank">&#8221;Hear a song&#8221;.</a> It´s very far from the classic lounge music that can be associated with hotels.</p>
<p>After a lot of brainstorming <strong>Niclas Bergman</strong>, Edithouse directed and cut the film. The result can be seen at the bottom of this page. <em>&#8221;We are so happy and proud of the result&#8221;</em> says <strong>Carina Högberg</strong>, one of the owners of the Hotel Flora. Pilo Bold Me also produced the site where the film is shown.</p>

<p><strong>Pilo Thin</strong> is the typeface for the month of September 2010 in this calender from <a href="http://pentagram.com/en/">Pentagram.<br />
</a></p>
<blockquote><p>Designed by Kit Hinrichs, the calendar features a different typeface each month in the classic wall or desk calendar format. Each month includes a brief description about what makes the featured font distinctive and a biography of the type designer. All major holidays for the US and UK are noted, along with the birthdays of the type designers. The 2010 edition uses typefaces available from <a href="http://www.veer.com/products/merchdetail.aspx?image=VPR0002081">Veer</a>.</p>
</blockquote>
<p>The mission of <strong>Pilo Thin</strong> was to create a typeface that was exactly the opposite of the very bold <a href="../../graphic-production/piloregular/"><strong>Pilo Regular</strong>.</a> A thinner cousin, which would create the contrast and to be a credible member of the family. The challenge was to make the font build as much as possible on inner lines in Pilo Regular but that it would feel like it just picked them off. Pilo Thin is more feminine and some shapes has been softened up and adjusted so that Pilo Thin can stand on it’s own, but without forgetting its origin.</p>
<p><em><strong>Mårten Fischer</strong> and <strong>Göran Söderström</strong> was deeply involved in the creative process and making the typeface come to life.</em></p>

<p>It seems that Pilo Regular - with some changes in the design - have been on every cover of <a href="http://www.ryanairmag.com/archive">Ryanairs Magazine</a> since May 2009. Great fun.</p>
<p>Pilo Regular is a bold, single weight OpenType face featuring subtle inline detailing and a solid sporting aesthetic. It feels both hard and soft, decorative and stoic, vintage and modern. Pilo Regular came from a great collaboration with <strong>Mårten Fischer, Göran Söderström</strong> and <a href="http://typodermic.com"><strong>Ray Larabie</strong></a>. Inspired from the Bold logo that <strong>Björn Höglund</strong> at Crispin Porter + Bogusky Europe (former Daddy) made for Pilo Bold Me. <p><strong>Doggy are Swedens largest brand when it comes to dog food.</strong> Pilo Bold Me was choosen to do the design of <a href="http://www.pilo.se/graphic-production/the-new-doggy/">the new Doggy.</a> The completely new product <strong>Doggy Dagens Meny</strong> (Doggy Today&#8217;s Menu) are now added to the family. It comes in four ”doggylicious” flavours and will soon be hitting the shelfs in stores around the country. Once again the product is in a <strong>Tetra Recart</strong> packaging.</p>
<p>Lantmännen Doggy recently announced that they will invest SEK 65 million to expand production of dog and cat food products in Tetra Recart packaging from Tetra Pak. This is to meet customers&#8217; growing demand for products within the brands Mjau and Doggy. Tetra Recart is the world&#8217;s first carton-based packaging, especially designed for food products traditionally packed in cans and glass jars, such as beans, tomatoes and soups. Tetra Recart is <a href="http://www.fsc.org">FSC</a> (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.</p>

Pilo Bold Me worked closly with the never ending talent of <a href="http://www.edithouse.se">Edithouse</a>.</p>
